Civil Wedding Ceremonies
The Waterhead Hotel can be booked 7 days a week for Civil functions (please contact the Hotel for availability – terms & conditions apply) We can accommodate for bookings from as few as 2 guests and cater for up to 200 in a Marquee. The Waterhead gardens are the perfect venue for a marquee, with views of the beautiful surrounding lake district & a private jetty onto the tranquil Coniston Water.
Ulverston Register Office licenses the Hotel’s civil functions: Civil Marriage, Civil Partnership and Naming Ceremonies
Three rooms in the hotel are licensed:
The Coniston Suite
30 guests maximum seated
£250.00 in 2008 / £275.00 in 2009
The Mountain View Restaurant guests 65 maximum seated
£300 in 2008 / £350 in 2009
The Hotel Lounge 45 guests maximum seated, plus standing room for a further 20 guests
£300 in 2008 / £350 in 2009
One room hire fee is charged for the room in which you hold your Civil Ceremony, meal and evening function.
Should you book your Civil function in the Coniston Suite, and require use of the Mountain View Restaurant for the meal and evening function, the charge will be at the price of the Mountain View Restaurant hire.
We can cater for a drinks reception, a meal and evening function to follow on from your Civil function.
