What To Do

The Coniston Launch

Bluebird Project

So what happened when a group of wreck-diving enthusiasts found themselves twiddling their thumbs through the winter over a decade ago?
Well, inspired by the lyrics of a rock song and with the full backing of the Campbell family, they founded a project centred around the wreck site of
Donald Campbell’s Bluebird, an undisturbed and technically challenging site on Coniston Water.
Since then not one day has passed without a member of the Bluebird Project team spending their own time on bringing Bluebird back to life.
It’s been no mean feat!
