Abbot Hall Art Gallery & Museum of Lakeland Life

This gallery has a very fine collection of modern British art and the museum is a recreated farmhouse where the rooms are full of real objects that tell the story of how Lakeland people have lived and worked over the past 200 years.

Lakeland Motor Museum

Unique collection of over 30,000 motoring exhibits including The Campbell Bluebird Exhibition.

Laurel & Hardy Museum

This museum is devoted to Laurel and Hardy with a variety of memorabilia including personal items, letters, photographs and furniture. There is also a small cinema showing films and documentaries all day.

Ruskin Museum

A memorial to Ruskin and a celebration of the area's heritage. Although the museum has a Ruskin collection, there are also exhibits relating to the coppermines, slate, geology, lace, farming and Donald Campbell.

The World Famous Motor Museum

Vehicles from film and television including the Aston Martin DB5 used in the Bond film 'Golden Eye' and 'FAB1' used to promote Thunderbird film 'Thunderbirds Are Go'.

The World of Beatrix Potter Attractions

Includes all 23 tales by Beatrix Potter, brought to life in a magical indoor recreation of the Lakeland countryside, complete with sights, sounds and even smells.
