Civil Ceremonies and Weddings
Civil Wedding Ceremony
The Waterhead Hotel can be booked 7 days a week for Civil functions and we can accept bookings for as few as 2 guests right up to 65 guests.
Ulverston Register Office licenses the Hotel’s civil functions: Civil Marriage, Civil Partnership and Naming Ceremonies. Before you pay a deposit for your wedding, it is essential you check a Registrar is available to perform the ceremony.
Three rooms in the hotel are licensed:
The Coniston Room
30 guests maximum seated for the ceremony
24 guests maximum seated for the wedding breakfast
£350 in 2012/2013
The Mountain View Restaurant
65 guests maximum seated for the ceremony
and wedding breakfast
(or 60 seated comfortably)
£475 in 2012/2013
The Lounge Bar
45 guests maximum seated for the ceremony
£350 in 2012/2013
One room hire fee is charged for the room in which you hold your Civil Ceremony, meal and evening function.
Should you book your Civil function in either the Coniston Room or the Lounge Bar and require use of the Mountain View Restaurant for the meal and evening function, the charge will be for hire of the Mountain View Restaurant.
We can cater for a drinks reception, a meal and evening function to follow on from your Civil function either in the hotel or in a marquee if you choose to hire one.
